The Field is a church in the Inner Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne that gathers at 6:30pm on Tuesday nights.
What we value.
Worship
We love to worship God. Spirit led worship is at the centre of our gatherings where we encounter His presence and become more like Him.
Relationship
We value genuine connection and community.
Simplicity
We choose to keep things simple and focus on the things God has called us to. The Field won’t tick every box, and that’s ok!
Rest
In a culture of busyness and burnout, we prioritise rest.
The day-to-day
Our mission, ministry and discipleship are outworked in our day-to-day lives as we love God, love others, and live led and empowered by the Holy Spirit to see the Kingdom of God come on earth.

Paul and Lex Buckley - Lead Pastors
Paul and Lex have been married for 19 years and have lived and worked in the UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia leading worship and developing worship teams. They relocated to Melbourne in 2017, and it was then that God began speaking to them about starting a church community in the Inner Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. They are the proud parents of Bella and Finn.
Dana Ackland - Director
Born and raised in California, Dana lives in Hamilton, New Zealand, with her husband Sam and son Max. She has worked for 25+ years in the leadership development field for companies, not-for-profit organisations and higher education. Before starting her consulting business, Dana worked in multiple churches, gaining experience in different denominations and styles of church. When she isn’t in consulting, Dana spends her time in sunshine.
